At Lemonade After School, we provide fun and educational opportunities for K-12 students. We enjoy, be their role model, and create lifelong bonds with them! At this relatively new school, your fresh ideas and experiences can be well reflected in your class.

Time: Monday through Friday 2:00 to 7:00 p.m., Saturday 9:30 a.m. to noon
(Working time changes during Spring, Summer, and Winter school programs.)

Responsibilities:
– Teach English and other related programs held at the site to K-12 students.
– Work closely and positively with other staff to create safe and fun environment.
– Develop, plan and execute lessons that reflect our curriculum and teaching methods.
– Have ability to maintain a positive, caring, and fun attitude.
– Conduct lively and interactive lessons through activities such as songs/dance/games.
– Promote student achievement, creativity, leadership, and well-being.
– Prepare daily materials including visual props/cards for students as needed.
– Follow reporting schedule and submits reports on time.
– Communicate with a manager to discuss the students’ progress, classroom atmosphere, and share suggestions and/or any concerns.
– Learn new things and attend training and meetings as requested.
– Help provide newsletters and decorate classrooms to facilitate learning in a fun way.
– Knowledge and understanding of after school programs, communities and positive child development

Preferred skills:
– Have a hobby that can be shared with students, e.g., yoga, physical stretch, boardgames, magic, dance, arts & crafts, programming, and other STEAM field.
– Foreign languages, other than English/Japanese
– Tech saavy

Qualifications:
– Native speaker of English
– Valid visa status allowing working in a private school, availability to work long term
– Bachelor’s degree
– Yoga experience is a plus
– Desire for professional development and training
– Ability to make English fun for children
– Excellent communication skills, ability to articulate ideas and knowledge clearly
– Ability to love, understand, listen to, nurture, support, and accept all children with NO prejudice
– Experience working with kids is a plus
